WHO:

Capt. Dick Loupe largemouth bass fishing
You may recall seeing him host the Southern Outdoorsman TV fishing show, which aired out of Knoxville, TN in the late 1980's.  He is an expert fisherman of freshwater fishing, specializing in trophy largemouth bass fishing Central Florida (the fishing capital of the world) where he has made his home since 1989.  You may have also read about him, as there have been many articles written about him and his successful techniques as both a tournament fisherman and a fishing guide in various sporting magazines, too numerous to mention.

Or you may have seen him weighing in fish at tournaments all over the country, such as when he qualified for the 2003 Stratos Boats World Championship.  Just like many of you out there, he first learned fishing from his Dad, and to respect
the outdoors and what it has to offer.  He has been fishing all over the country  since 1962, but now makes his home on Lake Weohyakapka (Walk-in-Water) employing a network of only the finest Orlando area bass fishing guides.

He no longer fishes in tournaments because he prefers teaching others about nature and watching the joy on the faces of children and adults alike when they catch their first Florida largemouth black bass!

Dick has previously fished with such distinguished fishermen as the former president of Abu Garcia, Porter, Waggoner, Jerry Reed, Tom Mann, Tom Mann Jr., Neil Bonnet and Davey Allison, just to mention a few.  Dick also worked for Abu Garcia as the Assistant Director of Tournaments and Promotions for several years.  This experience taught him everything there is to know about spinning and baitcasting reels, of which he is an expert about.

Being an avid outdoorsman since childhood, Dick recognized the special needs and desires of others seeking their great outdoor adventure.  This is wny he created 'The Southern Outdoorsman Guide Service' after years of networking with the best of the Kissimmee fishing guides and Orlando area bass fishing guides.  A complete outdoor outfitter service offering largemouth bass fishing Central Florida, exotic hunting, championship golfing, and wildlife airboat & swamp buggy excursions with all the special touches to make this trip the one you won't soon forget.

Everything I Ever Needed To Know About Life (& Fishing), I
Could Have Learned From Noah's Ark...

One: Don't miss the boat.
Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.
Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
Six: Build your future on high ground.
Seven: For safety sake, travel in pairs.
Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
Nine: When you're stressed, float a while.
Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

My Mission Statement:

I pledge to live a lifestyle of stewardship on and off the water.  Living as a steward means making choices throughout my daily life that benefit lakes, streams and seas - and the fish that swim in them - because my lifestyle runs downstream.

I will learn the fish and game laws where I hunt or fish and always abide by them.

I will practice Catch & Release and Selective Harvest faithfully and responsibly.

I will "police my resource" by turning in poachers and reporting polluters.

I will make up for "the other guy" by cleaning up litter wherever my adventures take me.

I will boat safely and responsibly, never trespass, and treat other enthusiasts respectfully.

I will provide my time, money, or other resources to support stewardship efforts.

I will take steps to see that my home, lawn, vehicle, workplace and everyday lifestyle are as fish-friendly as I can make them by reducing my water, energy, material and chemical footprint.

I will encourage others to take on this ethic and will connect others with the outdoors to grow the stewardship community.

I choose to serve as a role model in protecting what remains and recovering what's been lost of our wild and natural places.

I am a steward.
